International Removals – BAR Global Shipping Conditions Update for Current Movers
At Hamiltons Removals, we are committed to keeping you informed of the external factors affecting international removals to the UAE, and other international destinations, due to the regional conflict involving Iran.
The link below from the British Association of Removers, which we are a member of, was published on 1st May 2026. It explains the key issues affecting current movers, including rising freight costs due to route diversions, emergency surcharges and delays.
After an initial period of suspension, carriers are beginning to reintroduce shipments to the Middle East, with alternate routings being used into the region. However, these services are very fluid and can be withdrawn or changed at any moment; additionally the capacity is limited when compared to the traditional all-water routings into the region.
