Security Improvements completed at Aldeby

Back in November we started the planning the improvements for the security of the Aldeby depot. This has now been completed and the depot is monitored by 13 cameras which cover the entire site and record activity 24 hours 7 days a week. Which can also be viewed from our Harleston depot or any mobile device!

The Entrance to the depot now has security gates that open automatically at 7:00 and close at 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Celebrating 12 years at Harleston…..

On 25th February 2005 Hamiltons moved from the far from luxurious unit at Braiseworth, which we had occupied for the previous five years, to our current premises at Harleston.

We said goodbye to Braiseworth on Friday night but it was a tall order to get the new offices painted and decorated, the IT transferred and office furniture moved over the weekend.

So it was all hands on deck and Hamiltons were up and running on Monday morning. However it wasn’t such an easy undertaking to move the warehouse across which took considerably longer with our fleet of four trucks!

We only had approximately 100 containers those days compared to the 1000 plus we have today and to make things worse we had to move a mountain of carpet remnants too.

It will be interesting to see what the next twelve years will bring!
